Hisense’s 100L8D delivers superior audio with dbx-tv processing and Harman Kardon hardware
MILFORD, Mass., – dbx-tv®, the award-winning provider of the Total Technology audio enhancement suite, today announced its collaboration with global TV leader Hisense on the new 100” 4K Ultra HD Smart Laser TV’s audio capabilities. By integrating dbx-tv’s patented audio software with world-renowned Harman Kardon audio hardware, Hisense is reinforcing its commitment to delivering a premier TV sound system to all consumers.
“You just can’t have a truly larger-than-life viewing experience without audio that matches the picture,” said Les Tyler, President of dbx-tv. “dbx-tv’s Total Technology software works synergistically with the Harman Kardon hardware to provide an ultimate immersive TV viewing – and listening — experience.”
Dave Rogers, Senior VP & General Manager of Consumer Audio at HARMAN said the Hisense 100L8D TV has “…one of the best-sounding Harman Kardon audio systems that we’ve ever designed and built. It’s so good that there’s no need for the end-user customer to utilize a separate sound bar or a component audio system. We’re confident that Hisense customers will have an excellent entertainment experience with the Laser TV”.
dbx-tv Licensing Sales Director Tim Brault, who personally tuned the final audio performance of the TV, agrees. Mr. Brault adds, “The Harman Kardon speaker system is one of the best I’ve ever seen integrated into a TV, and could exceed performance expectations in this demanding market without further modification. However, applying Total Sonics processing to the audio system after careful measurement and calibration further elevated the performance to a level exceeding any similar product on the market. The Total Sonics processing in the TV ships “on” by default so all of Hisense’s customers will experience the benefits that dbx-tv brings to the table.”
In addition, dbx-tv contributes other valuable audio features to Hisense’s Smart TV platform. dbx-tv’s Total Volume processing prevents unwanted loudness changes and the Total Surround algorithm provides a surround-sound experience using only the TV’s integrated speakers. The combination of Harman hardware with Total Technology processing provides consumers with a truly superior TV audio system.
